The tenth edition of Pirin Ultra, with four mountain distances from 25 km to 160 km run across one weekend.
Pirin Ultra returns to Bansko for its 10th anniversary edition from 10 to 13 September 2026. The fresh municipality preview positions it as one of the biggest mountain-running weekends in the area and a strong early-September reason to stay in town a little longer.
The event includes four race distances with very different levels of difficulty, from 25 km with 1,000 m positive elevation up to the signature 160 km route with 11,000 m D+.
The 2026 race program has been adjusted so that almost all starts fit within the weekend:
- 160 km starts on Friday morning
- 68 km, 38 km, and 15 km start on Saturday
- 25 km is scheduled for Sunday
For members, nomads, and visitors planning their September in Bansko, this is a practical local signal: the town and mountain will have a major endurance event running through that weekend.
