As of today, the Municipality of Bansko has officially launched a new system for sanctioning improperly parked motor vehicles. The system will be used to strictly monitor and control vehicles parked on sidewalks, in front of garages, at intersections, in parks, on green areas, and in all no-parking zones.
The goal of the system is to ensure free and safe access to sidewalks and pedestrian areas for all—pedestrians, parents with strollers, people with disabilities, and children.
The system will automatically generate electronic tickets for violators. If the driver is not present, the ticket will be attached to the vehicle, and a second copy will be sent by mail to the registered owner. This form of notification will be considered officially delivered.
Fines collected will go directly to the budget of the Municipality of Bansko and will be used to improve the urban environment, including the construction of new parking spaces and the maintenance of existing infrastructure.
Today, the inspectors responsible for operating the new system underwent specialized training to ensure efficiency, impartiality, and strict adherence to regulations.
We urge all citizens and visitors to the city to comply with traffic and parking regulations. Only through joint efforts can we ensure safety, order, and a better quality of life for everyone.
